THE UNION COMPANY AND THE WESTPORT COAL TRADE.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION'.I Wellington, Thursday. It is understood that terms have been arranged between the Union Steamship Company and the Westport Colliery Company, by which the output of coal from the Westport collieries will in future be entirely in the hands of the Westport Colliery Company, while all sea transport will be under the management of the Union Company. The steamers Kawatiri, Wareatea, and Orowaiti, heretofore running as Westport Colliery Company's vessels, will iu future fly the Union Company's flag, and be under the management of that company, which will act as agents for them.
