[BY TELEGRAPH.—PKESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. The Princess Theatre Hotel, Tory-stre6t, was broken into last night, and a safe containing money, jewellery, and other valuables carried away. The thieves made an entrance through the window, having slipped the catoh with a knife or some other sharp in strument. Subsequently the safe was found in the rear of the Salvation Barracks, the bottom having been knocked out, and all the valuables and other articles stolen, the papers being left to blow about at will. The police have no clue to the robbers. The thefts about town recently are put down to the very large number of " speeiers" who have been attracted here by the race meetings.
