THE MAORI MURDERS.
[BY TELEGRAPHPRESS ASSOCIATION.] Gisborne, Wednesday. Four natives have been arrested on suspicion of boing implicated in the double murder. It is very doubtful, however, if anything can be proved, as the bodies are so burnt and unrecognisable that it cannot be decided what was the cause of death. The statement is reiterated that the Hauhaus and Te Kootism are the elements in the matter.
