» ' ' [by telegraph— association.] Dunedin, Satnrday. A case was heard at Mosgiel to-day, resulting from a fracas whioh took plaoe after the meeting of the Mosgiel Borough Council. Mr. Murdoch complained of Mr. MoKenzle monopolising time, when Mr. MoKenzie retorted by telling him not to " effervesce," whioh term appeared to rouse the other, and a rough and tumble fight ensued, in whioh MoKenzie lost a portion of his beard. A fine of £1 was imposed on Murdoch, with £2 15s 6d oosts.
