«►— MATCH WITH THE AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN. [BEDTEB'3 TELEGRAM.] Melbourne, December 17. The cricket match, Shaw-Lilly white's team v. the Australian Eleven, commenoed today on the Melbourne cricket grounds. Though the weather was fine the attendance was only moderate. An excellent wicket was prepared, and the ground was in first-rate order. The Australians winning the toes, elected to bat, and when the stumps were drawn had made 206 for the loss of five wiokets.
