Gold was seen in the Young American leader last night olden Crown— are invited for several blocks. . Adeline (Karangahake).—James Brown has bought the tailings— tons of first grade at £12 10s per ton, and 17 one-third tons second grade at £6 8* per ton. Diamond.—The tailings from the late crushing at the Ivanhoe battery having assayed at the rate of £12 per ton the mine manager has been instructed to bag all tailings and forward them to Mr. L. Melho&e, Thames, for tenders and sale. [BY TELEGRAPHpress ASSOCIATION. -. Hokitijca, Friday. ; Ross United.The returns from Friday/ the sth inst., up to Tuesday last were 420z 9dwc. On Tuesday, underground. work was suspended owing to a break in the race, and an accident to the pumping gear. Both have now been repaired, and work vu resumed at midday on Thursday.
