SLAUGHTERED MEAT.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—As the hot weather is now upon us, I would suggest that the Council should pass a by-law to compel all conveyances with slaughtered meat coming into the oity to be properly oovered with a proper sheet or tarpaulin. Diseases have been engendered by the exposure of slaughtered meat coming into cities.—l am, &c, John Lamb. Auckland, November 9, 1886.
