The Commissioner of Lands at Adelaide' has received the following telegram regarding the Teetulpa Goldfiold :—•• When writing to you last I mentioned that certain rumours were in circulation respecting heavy-weight nuggets, but I had not been able to prove any of them. To-night (Monday), however, lam glad to state on the authority of the warden, Inspector Besley, and one of the partners of the luoky findtT, that a nugget of solid gold weighing; 30oz hae been unearthed. Aβ evidence to show how secretly some of these finds are kept, I may say that thie nngget was foesioked out on the 22nd October, and there can be no doubt that a great deal more gold has beeu obtained on this field than is generally known. This bright particular nugget hae been sent to town. In size it Jβ as big as the palm of the hand. One edge was about 1J inches thick, and shelved off to a lesser thickness. This is the largest nugget yet found on the Teetulpa, bat there is no reason to suppose that others may not be found to eclipse it. Of Brady's gaily there can be bo doubt that the npper part promises to be rich in gold. Small quantities hare been dry fossicked in many claims ; and two men, Hennessy and Forth, have obtained over an ounce each, and Kelly about the same; and Parsons, Shields, and Flaherty got a 2oz nugget and some smaller ones altfO. From five bags of washdirt half an ounce w«s taken. This addition to the field extends the area of payable gold to a distance of quite one mile and a half. Men are working steadily and systematically, and claims that had once been worked by novices during the first mad rush, and then abandoned, are now being made to yield their treasure. The Warden of the goldfields telegraphs confirming the news as to the finding of the 30oz nugget."
