NEW ZEALAND-MADE INSULATORS.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. Sis J. Voobl, writing on the subject of telograph insulators to Mr. Adams, of Sydenham Potteries, says he is willing to pay him and Mr. White, of Dunedin, one shilling and sixpence each for 5000 insulators, in every reipeot as good as samples. The sub" stances necessary for their manufacture may be imported, but the insulators, including the bolts portion, must be made in the colony. If the Insulators are found equal to the imported ones in all respects, then the Commissioner of Telegraphs undertakes to give them an order for 40,000 at one shilling and threepence each. He does not advise them to accept these terms, but they are the best he can offer.
