THE IMPERIAL INSTITUTE.
[renter's telegram.] London, November 7. The meeting of the Agents-General and the Executive Commissioners of the Colonial and Indian Exhibition was held yesterday for the purpose of discussing the establishment of the Imperial Institute. Sir Philip Ounliffe Owen announced that he had received, on behalf of the Prince of Wales, the exhibits which the different colonies had contributed to the Exhibition, which would be for the Imperial Institute. He stated that the colonies would provide the working expenses in connection with the Institute. He assumed that the Colonial Governments would send the contributions they had promised in a lump sum. London, November 8. The Prince of Walea has asked the Customs authorities to extend the concession granted to the Indian and Colonial Exhibition regarding the duty on exhibits to the Exhibition for the Imperial Institute.
