WESLEYAN DISTRICT MEETING.

■ ♦— , The morning session on Saturday - began at ten o'clock with the ordinary devotional exercises, prayer being led by the Rev. J. Dukes. The morning was mostly occupied in the examination of Messrs. Marshall, Dean, and Mather, who are just completing the term of probation appointed by the Wesleyan Church, namely, four years. The Rev. A. Reid was the examiner, and he subjected the candidates to a thorough theological testing. (Some questions were also put by the President (Rev. H. Bull) on Methodist polity, and other members proponed queries arising from the course pursued. There was not time to conclude the business affecting the probationers. Before the adjournment to Monday, the Rev. R. Bavin invited the members of the meeting, both ministerial and lay, to a social tea at Grafton Road, to be held on Wednesday evening next, at half-past six.
