The tributers for the Prince of Wales elevators have resumed work, with .a plentiful supply of water. Humphrey's Gully United have had a good week's slucing, and intend to run down the boxes in the course of next week. Nelson, Friday.
Mr. Wright, mining surveyor, has recently returned from a visit to the Ovens reefs, and gives a very favourable account of the large quautitiea of quartz which have been proved. The prospects are very good. A company is b«ing formed in Nelson to provide crushing machinery, and the field is likely to be thoroughly opened up this sutrmer.
