TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Let me thank " Colotra? " (or faia very clever reply to my inqairy. After his explanation I fiad we scarcely differ at all in our opinion on the subject. He is evidently a writer such as we want to influence' public opinion on many questions that puzzle the present age. Let me also congratulate him that,- judging by the force with which he writes, he has been privileged to know the befit of the fair Hex. I always maintained that it is not given to mortal man to tran* aoend experience. If therefore eminent mett from Plato and St. Paul down to Dr. Withers Moore differ from US, We pity their lot (Plato especially never having been a married man), but we need not subscribe to their conclusions as their experiences may haVd been different from ours.—l am, &c., Inquires,
