AUCKLAND CRICKET ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the delegates of the Auckland Cricket Association was held in the clubroom, Albert Hotel, last night. There were 14 club representatives present, Mr. J. Mumford being in the chair. It being the first meeting of the new committee, the election of secretary and treasurer was the first business. Mr. A. M. Beale was reelected secretary, and Mr. C. E. MaoCor< miok was also reappointed treasurer. The Domain Grammar School C.C. was admitted to the Association as a junior club, and the Franklin C.C. was permitted to change their name to the Waitemata C.C. The Holland C.C. was elected to play as a senior club during the season. The letter re the visit of the Australian Eleven having been disposed of by a previous communication, the committee took no action in the matter. The communication from the All England Eleven re their visit to the colony in February, and which had been referred to the committee by the Association to consider the question of offering terms, provoked a good deal of discussion as to how the guarantee was to be raised. It was finally decided to offer £200 for a three days' match, with an alternative of the same terms as allowed the Australian Eleven—viz., £100 for the use of the ground, the visitors to take the gross proceeds and pay all ex* penses. An application was made on behalf of the Onehunga C.C. to have all cup matches with that club played at Onehuaga. It was decided to refer the matter to the cup committee to decide. The question of the intercolonial match was deferred till next meeting, and a vote of thanks to the chair-. man terminated the meeting.
