Dear Sir», — While at Waitara in .February last, I visited Mr. Thos. Bayley's farm there. I was shown a grass paddock, spring sown, said to have had 4cwt of your superphosphate per acre, and I confessed it was the best p«ddock of young grass I bad seen this season. I was then informed three white crops had been taken from this land prior to being laid down. From the appearance of the paddock adjoining, it wag evincible that the manure used was the cause of the beautiful sward of grass. I was next shown a paddock of roots -swedes and mangold wurtzeli. This paddock had also had three white crops prior to being cultivated for roots, and for healthiness no crop of swedes could be more perfect. The mangolds were alio the picture of health—the glossiness of the leaves, so often looked for but 10 seldom seen, proved beyond doubt the good effect of the manure used. lam quite positive had the abovementioned crops been sown in the locality on land In the same state of cultivation, bar manure, the result would have been an utter failure. - Yours faithfully, A.
