[reutkr's telegrams.] SOUTH AUSTRALIAN REVENUE. Adelaide, October 2. The South Australian revenue for the past quarter amounted to £408,000, a decrease of £122,000 compared with the corresponding quarter last year. In the House of Assembly, the proposals submitted by the Government to amend the Land Act in order to cover the deficiency in the revenue were rejected. WRECK OF A FRENCH BARQUE. Melbourne, October 2. The French, barque Glaneuse, 481 tons, from Oharente to Melbourne, with a cargo of spirits, has gone ashore at Point Lonsdale, Port Philip Heads, and is in a critical position. THE MAURITIUS MARKET. Adelaide, October 2. Arrived, the Messageries Maritimes steamship • Sydney, from Marseilles. She brings Mauritius news to the 16th September. Messrs. Ireland, Fraser, and Co.'s circular of August 30 re-ports:—Sugar-crushing has commenced, and it is estimated that the yield will be from 105,000 to 110,000 tons. REDUCTION OF MILITARY EXPENDI. TORE. Sydney, October 2. A reduction in the military expenditure of the colony is being effected, and a number of the permanent force are being dispensed with. NEW ZEALAND WHEAT. Sydney-, October 2. New Zealand wheat is 4s 2d per bushel. THE HAUROTO. Melbourne, October 2. The Hauroto arrived yesterday afternoon.
