SharemARKET. — Cambria, sellers 7s 9d ; .Moanataiari, 9a, buyers 83 6d ; Alburnia, sellers 2a 3d ; Saxon, sellers, Sd ; buyers 6d ; Silverton, sellers 49 6d. Cambria.—At No. 4 level the reef has been driven on up to the Moanataiari boundary. The hangingwall has been displaced. 229 loads of quartz yielded ISfioz gold. Prince Imperial.—Hodge, 28oz 2dwt gold. KußUNtri Loughlin, soz gold. City of Manchester.—2ooz 17dwt gold. Albornia.—ln the crosscut at Whau a a lodo about eight inches wide has been intersected. Gold shows pretty freely. Trenton.—A tender for sinking a shaft 200 feet at 57s 6d per foot has been accepted. Thomas Manning haa laid a plaint against the proprietors of the Paroquet claim, Waiomo, for non-working. New Albctrnia. — The mine manager on the Bth June reports thaj; the progress made in the following works' for the week wa3:— Sons of Freedom, bangingwall lode, 70 feet level: Two stopes have been beaten along a distance of 15 feet east of rise, and the crushing dirt coming to hand looks well. The average width of the lodo ie about IS inches, and gold is seen every breaking down. The 701b of specimens and picked stone lodged in the bank were won from the stopes and the rise. Although no defined run of gold has been met with, the lode has shown sold very regularly. There are 20 loads in hoppers, which will bo sent to the Crown battery to-day. Crushing will commence this evening. The crosscut, Whau level, has been driven a distance of seven feet for the week. The lode has just been cut in one corner of the face; when sufficient has been stripped, I will break down, and make the connection with rise, the back of which is four feet under floor of drive. Sawyer and party completed » crushing for 14oz lOdwt. Saxon.— mine manager, under date Sthinst., reports :—Tho footwall leader, No. 1 reef, No. 3 level, etill maintains its size and appearance. Colours of gold are seen from wall to wall. During the past week 351b of picked stone have been saved, and the oouutry is very good. Very little is being done in the hillward drive, but colours of gold are still Reen here. Cambria.—"229 loads quartz crushed for 189oz retorted gold (per telegram),— (Signed) H. W. Moore."

KiMBEKLKY.—Mr. Thomas Black, mine manager, proceeded to Waihi last Saturday to commence mining operations on the cornpany's claim. Darwin.—The mine manager reports:— The drive on the h.-ingingwall of the reef is in a distance of 220 feet from the Cambria boundary. There is about six inches of quartz on the hangingwall of the reef carrying some very nico-looking mineral, and there is also good country on the hangingwall with nice mineral veins through it. The winze is down a depth of six feet. Colours of gold are being aeen in the stringers on the hangingwall of the roef. When breaking down the hangingwall portion of the reef this morning coioure of gold were aecn in the stone. There is also good mineral in gome of the quartz. The winding engine is working very satisfactorily. Cambria.—The mine manager reports : The crosscut drive on the reef at No. 4 level is up to the Moanataiari boundary, and haa touched the hangingwall. There is some nice mineral in the quartz, but I have not seen any gold yet. 1 have also commenced to drive on stringers of quartz on the western side of the winze at the intermediate level below No. 3 level. In the drive at the intermediate level going towards the Darwin the reef is about three feet in thickness. The hangingwall portion is carrying nice mineral. In the drive and leading stope east, at the intermediate level 3 level the reef is about six feet in thickness, and is carrying good mineral and occasionally colours of gold are seen in breaking it down. In breaking down the Darwin reef in the stope above No. 3 level, near the Darwin boundary, dabs and colours of gold are frequently seen in the stringers on the haugingwall side. Two men are still employed in breaking out quartz ou the cross reef over the intermediate level, below No. 2 level. Gold is seen freely in the quartz when breaking it down. A little gold is also being seen in the stopes below No. 2 level on the Darwin reef on the eastern aide of the winze. 106 loads of quartz have been crushed during the week for the return of 2470z of amalgam. The company's battery is working very satisfactorily.
