Hard Times.—The timea are are now said to be hard, but they are good to what they will bo unless the people support the proposals of Sir Julius Vogol. There Is, however, one m ittor of congratulation—that there resides in AuckUnd at least one man who has the interest of the masses at heart. Who is he ?is the natural question. We answer—Eaton, of tha Co-operative Stores, next Garrett's, Karangahape Road, near the Queen-street' entrance to the City M»rket, and the Fish Arcade. However hard the times lift has made preparation to meet them, and his forselght will save the people from starvation. Ho has in itoolc, and to order, supplies of Butter. Cheese, Bacon. Sugar, Tea, and all tho necessaries of life, purchased at prices that enables him to sell cheaply. A household that gets their supplies from Eaton will never starve. They can defy hard times and live comfortably. If the public want proof of this, let them pay Eaton's establishments a visit. They will return home as happy th»t, howovev small their income, It will be pofiible to keep the wolf from thit door. Next week he will again divide a bonus of 6 per cent, among his customers. — [Advt], Women, especially in the higher circles, shrink naturally from intoxicating liquors.
