NEW ZEALAND STUDENTS AT THE EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, Friday. The class prize lists of the Edinburgh University have been received, and show that the students from the Otago Medical School have gained distinction. R. E. Barnett (Wellington), aud John Somerville (Dunedin), take three medals, both passing the second professional examinations. T. H. Jeffcoat (Dunedin) takes two medals; P. A. Lindsay and W. Fleming take first-class honours in senior surgery and junior practice of physic; H. M. Inglis (Timaru) takes a medal and first place in natural history, and first-class honours in chemistry and anatomy ; i$F, Trnby King (Taranaki) and F. H. Jerffcoat are both considered as having : excellent chanoes of being placed Eccles-man ! for the year, the highest distinction the < school can give.
