DANGEROUS ACCIDENT.
It is a matter of regret that the Agricultural Show has not quite pa»3ed over without an accident, and that, too, of a very serious character. On Saturday morning, when the exhibits were being brought to the show, a man named Jones took charge of a bull which was to be exhibited by Mr. T. Morrin. Perhaps from being accustomed to the animal to such an extent that he conceived no danger he carelessly loosed him to lead lain away in the usual manner, but the bull proved vicious for the moment, and lowering his head drove at Jones, breaking his collarbone and three of his ribs. Medical assist- : ance was procured as goon as possible, but the ! doctor has little hopes of the man's recovery, ! us besides the shock to the system one of th - blast's horns appears to have penetrated om- ! ■ of the lunt's. The occurrence had a so.rv 1 ■ J what dampening effect. The animal is usual! j t | tractable and quiet, but on a previa.; 1 r , occasion exhibited some restiveness, and gi • ; i ; Mr. Morrin ehas», and he cautioned i'-. 1 : '-mploygs to be careful ; but familiarity wiv: 1 ; *•'' l: animal's general temperament evidently j , : I' d to want of caation on Jones' part, and the result was the serious accident which has ' j taken place.
