SUICIDE OF A BOY.

[by telegraph.—press association.] Invercargill, Monday. An inquest was held at Menzies' Ferry to* day, oo the body of Henry Cuningham, a lad of 16 years ot age, found drowned in the Mataura on Saturday. From the evidence it appeared that the youth bad been in a desponding state of mind, and that a lette» to his family had been found, in which be intimated bis intention of destroying himself, being tired of life. Search was made in the river on Saturday, when the body waß found in two feet of water with the huida tied to his feet. The jury returned a verdict of suicide during temporary insanity.
