FLOODS AT GREYMOUTH.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—rP.KSS ASSOCIATION.] Grbymouth, Monday. The. heavy rain throughout yesterday culminated in a flooded river this morning. About three o'clock a wall of water came down, and while the men were at work in one of " the cylinders it carried away two rows of ' temporary piles, although driven fifteen feet in the shingle. The derrick at the end of the work was carried away ; also the donkey-engine and boilers. The cylinders were not attached to any of the woodwork, and the damage is not considered heavy. It is expected that the engine which is fastened to framework, will be recovered. The flood was not nearly so high as the previous one, which carried away the cylinders and did other damage,
