Occupiers, and to all other persons claiming an interest in the lands on the banks or along the course of the Mikarau River, its tributary streams and branches, situated within tho District of Makarau, in the Provincial District of Auckland. * Take notice that it is the intention of WILLIAM DOWNER, of Helonsville, in the said Provincial District of Auckland, Contractor, to apply to the Commissioner of Crown Lands of the Auckland Land District for a license under the Timber Floating Act, 18S4. to use the above named Hiver. Stream, and Creek, and its several branches or tributaries, for the purposes of the said Act, and that It is his intention to continue in use a dam on a stream flowing through the parishes of Waiwcra and Makarau, called the Haiara stream, the position of which said dam is defined upon a tracing deposited at the office of the Cronn Land* Commissioner at Auckland, showing the said River. Stream, and Creek, its branches and tributaries, by being coloured Ked, and marked (A) Dam ; also, that it his intention t > construct a dam on the said stream flowing through the said parishes of Waiwera and Makaran into the Makarau Rlyer, the position of which said dam is about a quarter of a •• lie down sticam, below the boundary dividing the aforesaid parishes, and is defined upon the said tracing by being coloured red, and marked (B) Dam.
