ECCLESIASTICAL.
At St. Paul's, the services to-morrow, Trinity Sunday, include choral communion in the morning, and a sermon on the subject of "Mysteries" in the evening. The anthems specially chosen for the festival are also noted in the advertisement.
To-morrow, being Trinity Sunday, -two sermons appropriate to the occasion an promised at St. Matthew's Church by the incumbent. That in the morning deals with "Attributes of the Holy Trinity," whilst the evening one is entitled " Unity Demand* Consistency." Trinity Sunday will be observed at tin Church of St. Thomas by festal services ai eight a.m., eleven a.m., and half-past ah pm. Tbe preacher at matins will be th< Rev. 0. D. De Castro, of Wellington, and ai evensong the Rev. W. H. Root, of Hawera At St. Sepulchre's) Trinity Sunday will b< commemorated by communion at eight a.m., with short—address. In the evening-~th< Rev. J. Taylor, D.p., will preach. ' The solemn opening of the new organ oi St. Patrick's Cathedral will be held to morrow, Trinity Sunday, and the service! will.be. of a special character. High Mast will be celebrated at eleven o'clock, and His Lordship Bishop Luck will preach, and a 1 Vespers the Rev. Osmund Egan, 0.3.8. will preach. At eleven o'clock Haydn't Imperial Mass will be sung by a choii specially' augmented, and the Rev. J, F. Patterson, organist and musical diree tor of St. Joseph's College, London, wil preside at the instrument. The new organ, which has just been erected bj the Rev. Augustine Luck, 0:8. 8., brothej of the Bishop, in a magnificent full-powerec instrument, the " great organ" having s compass of 56 notes, the swell organ 56 notes, the choir organ 56 notes, each ranging from CC to G, while the pedal organ, ranging from CCC to F, has 30 notes, in andition tc which there are "couplers," &c, giving the organ a full and complete finish. The Rev. R. Bavin will preach a special sermon to the young, on "The Lord's Supper , ' at the Sunday forenoon service oi the Grafton-road Wesleyan Church. The Congregationalists at Bereaford-streel have commenced service at Devonport, which is held in tbe house lately occupied by Captair Filder. The room in which the service if held has been adapted by throwing two into one; it has a very comfortable and neat appearance, and will seat about 100 persons, The Rev. H. W. J. Miller, of Onehunga, conducts the service to-morrow evening. A site has been purchased on whioh to erect » church and school-room, which will be proceeded with in a short time.
The Rev. P. P. Cornford, of Napier, will conduct the morning service on Sunday at the Mount Eden Baptist Church. A temperance sermon will be delivered at the morning service of the Alexandra-street Primitive Methodist Church by the Rev. A. J. Smith. In the evening an Evangelistic service will be held when addresses will be given by the Rev. J. Boothroyd and Mr. E. W. flail, of Wellington.
