Notice is hereby given that a Petition will be presented to the General Assembly at Wellington at its next sitting, praying for leave to introduce a Bill to be entitled the Orakei Native Reserve Act, 1885. By the said Bill it is intended to grant greater facilities for leasing, to repeal the Orakei Native Reserve Act, 1882, to extend th? time for which the land can be leased to sixty years, to make provision for roads, paths, churches, and public buildings by dedication or otherwise, to relieve the land from the payment of native duty.
