The following are the immigration and emigrations returns for Mar&a :— Arrivals : Auckland, 457; Wellington. 304; Napier, 3 : Hokitika, 5; Lyttelton, 32 ; Oamara, 11 ; Dnnedin, 299; Invercargill, 448 ; Total, 1569. Departures: Auofcland, 375; Giaborne, 1: Wellington, 26! ; Napier, 10 : Ly ttelton, 177 ; Oamaru, 18 ; Dunedin, 2 ; invercargill, 427 ; Total, 1271. Of the arrivals 658 are from the United Kingdom, 832 from Australia, 37 from Fiji, 5 from other British ports, 35 from tbe South Seat, and 2 from the United States. Of the departures, 284 were for tbe United Kingdom, 876 for Australia, 84 for Fiji, 5 for other British ports, and 92 for the Mouth Seas. Of Chinese thoro were no arrivals, and 10 departure*.
