THE INDIAN REVOLT IN CANADA.
♦ [special to press association.] ! [Received April 12, 5.30 p.m.] London, April 11. The American Indians are joining the rebels in the revolt amongst the Indian half-breeds in North-west Canada. Pending the result of the parleying on this question, the Canadian Government have despatched seven thousand men to the scene. [Received April 13,1.40 a.m.] MASSACRE OF SETTLERS. London, April 12. Intelligence from North-West America states that the insurrection fomented by the half-breed Riel in Manitoba is growing in gravity. The Indian tribes surrounded several outlying stations, and massacred a number of white settlers at Frog Lake.
