The schooner Circe cleared outwards at the Customs yesterday for Greymautb. She is to ■ail to-day in ballast. The barque Alastor left London for Auckland on the 17th of January last. The ship Crusader was at latest advices on the berth and loading at London for this port. The schooner Christina, from Russell, arrived on Saturday last, with a cargo of manganese, which is to be transhipped into the barque Glenlora, for London. The barque Experance, for the Bluff, took bar departure on Saturday last. The , S.S. Glenelg, from Mercury Bay, and Wellington, from Tauranga, both arrived here on Saturday. The fo«nar left again for the Barrier and the Wellington for Waiwera the tame day. The Glenelg returned from the Barrier early on Sunday morning. The schooner Gleaner, on going out of Mercury Bay on Friday morning last, unfortunately took the ground near the Heads, and despite every off art made by Captain Urquhart, she there held. The Glenelg shortly afterwards was seen coming in from Tairua, and upon being signalled, Captain Amodeo went to the steamer and made an attempt to get the schooner off, but It being late on the ebb tide the trial was unsuccessful. It was fully expected, however, that Captain Urquhart would be able to get his vessel off on the next flood, everything toward that end having been done. The schooner is not in any way damaged, nor is it likely that she will be. The schooner is bound for Dunedin, and has a full cargo of timber on board. the San Francisco pilot on the 16th February, at 3.45 p.m., and hud hear/ head sea for three days, followed .by fine weather to Honolulu. Arrived at that port on the 23rd February at noon, and left at 4.50 p.m. lame day. Had fide weather throughout the entire passage from -Honolulu to Auckland. Passed the Samoaa Islands on 2nd March, and on sth March passed the a.s. She had a successful spin down the Firth of Clyde on her trial trip, with a large and distinguished party on board, making as much as 15} knots an hoar. She has not a very numerous passenger list for a first trip. Experienced moderate weather. The Penguin left again at about 4 p.m. for Southern ports, having en board the mails from home received from Australia.
