DOKEDIN, Wednesday.—ln consequence of the withdrawal of the Tarawera for the West Coast Sounds excursion there will be no steamer to Melbourne next week, but in order to avoid a corresponding gap froth Melbourne, the next two steamers from here will be turned back immediately on reaching there, so as to keep up the usual weekly connection. f THE STAR OF THE SOUTH. GbeyJiuuth, Wednesday.—The position Of the Star of the couth is unchanged. The Harbour Board have written to the owners to remove her out of the channel, a 9 she is a danger to navigation. There appet>m to be very little chance of her going to pieces through tidal force, as she lies in the side-entrancd to the river. ,
