Arthur's WiKKir Report.—The produce market has been quiet this neck.; but little to hand until yesterday, when ton many potatoes were sent in, therefore the prices ruled much-lower than last week. But few onions to hand, the market having been supplied with Americans, those that wero cntered'of heir ones did not moet with much demand. ■ Fruit quiet: The supply of gooseberries largo ; pilcoi ruled lower; cherry piums sent too green, not fully grown, therefore 'were difficult to sell at any'pries. Jones'property, situated opposite the Surrey Jiills Estate, fronting Richmond Avenue, known as "TlibKom," about £0 acres of land, subdivided in 110 buiHini: lots. Great interest was ; manifested in this sale, aud a largo number of. persons were present. At first tbcra w&* great hesitation in bidding, but when it was scon that tbe property was for sale at fair -prices, thirty-three aliotmbnts were sold. Those fronting ikichwond Avenue brought SOs to 40sper foot; others on the lower parts of the property, fronting the cross street;, brought Us tfd to 17s .6dporfoot.. 'A'hese streets are 6G feet wid*. The unsold portion is now open for selection at low prices, and is well worthy the attention of any who may want n pleasant site for a home, or a good speculation. Wednesday: .Sale of household furniture, etc., at mart, A good attendance, fair competition, and a good business was done. Thursday : Sale of allotmants fronting Mount Eden Itcad, opposite the residence of Mr. J. Batger, on the estate of the late Mr. W. Small. .The attendance was small, bidding languid, and, although the reserves were low, none were sold, and are now for sale privately. Friday : Market day ; sale of poultry, produce, fruit, etc. A full attendance, fa'.r competition ; it continued for a lute hour, and a large quantity changed hands. Poultry and pig 3 wero in very large numbers ; prices ruled lower, than for some time pßst. Potatoes were entered in.oioos3;of the demand, and were with difliculty cleared out at much lower price! than last week. Cheese' was in full supply, but prices lower; still a Urge quantity of old and inferior coming to -hand, which'tends to keep prices low. Good bacon is still in fair demand; inferior difficult to clear off.
