The schooner G.sborne, from East Coast ports, arrived in harbour last evening. Captain J. H. Skinner repot ts having sailed from Gisborne on November 1, called at Waitotara on the 2nd, discharged cargo, and run on to Waihau, discharged and took in cargo ; on the 3rd arrived at Toiago Bay, nut owing to a rough bar had to lay there till the 4th ; on the s’.h arrived at Auaura, discharged and shipped cargo, run on to Marahea, and discharged cargo; on the 6th arrived at Tckoriora, discharged and shipped cargo ; on the "th arrived at Waipiro and Akuaku ; or. the 6th arrived at Tuparoa and Awanui. shipj'ed and discharged cargo ; on the 9th arrived st Waiipti, ehipped cargo. Weather fine up to this time, when it set in rough, and could not get round to Kawakawa till the 11th, and took in cargo ; cn the 13th arrived at Oreti, shipped pigs, maize, and whale oil ; on the 15th arrived at the Kah.a, finished loading maize and pigs ; on the 16th, at 5 p.m., sailed for Auckland ; thence to arrival, light head winds and calms. Cargo : 400 sacks maize, 130 pigs. 35 sacks and 1 bale fungus, IS hides, 30 casks whale oil, 60 cheese, 7 coops fowls, and 21 packages sundries.

The Waikato Coal Company's steamer Thomas Bussell arrived alongside the Railway Wharf at ten o'clock yesterday morning frem Napier and Gisborne. Fine weather prevailed during the trip up. The Thomas Russell leaves again to-day for the same ports. The barque Freetrader goes hence to Newcastle in ballast. She entered outwards at the Customs yesterday. Captain J. Matthew has been appointed to the cha-ge of the brigantine Magellan Cloud, vice Richards, resigned. The brigantine goe* hence to Noumea, as we have already stated, and from there to Long Island for a cargo of guano for Lyttelton or other Southern port. For the first time in Auckland the house flig of the Compagnie des Meaaageriea Maritimes was to be seen flying yesterday over the office of the local Agents, Meesrs. Henderson and Macfarlane, Fort-street. The flag is a white one, with red corners, and with the letters M.M. in the centre.

The barque Atlantic has now almost completed the disch*_ ge of her cargo of raw sugar at Birkenhead. Her place at the Sugar Company's Wharf is to be occupied by the barque Florence Treat.

We understand that Captain Tozer, late of the Union S.S. Co., has been appointed to the command of the steamship Triumph. The barque Beatrice Haverner dropped down from the Sugar Company's works yesterday morning, and the barque Gefion was taken up and berthed at the place vacated by the first named vessel.

The Union Company's steamship Waihora, fairly patronised by passengers, took her departure at noon yesterday, for Southern ports and Melbourne. Her departure was witnessed by a large number of spectators, who had, in the majority of cases, assembled to bid bon voyage to friends.

The s.B. Macgregor, from Whangarei, arrived in harbour last evening with several passengers and the following cargo : —l3 hhdx ale, 1 keg ale, 10 sacks fl:ur, 5 packages leather, 14 boxes butter, 19 boxes eggs, 4 bales wool, 4 sacks gum, 2 crates fowls, 1 turkey, 1 case bacon, 1 sack bacon, 16 sacks fungus, 4 tons sundries.

The if. Waitaki came into harbour early this morning from Whangarei with the following cargo :— 29 bags gum, 4 kegs and 7 cases butter, 3 bundles skins, 2 casks tallow, 4 bags bones.
