News has been received that the members of the commission appointed to settle the demarcation of the northern frontier of Afghanistan have crossed the river Helmund into that country, and were met by a large body of Afghans, who are now acting as an escort. New Zealand securities are quoted to-day as follow:—The 5 per cent. 10-40 loan is 104 i ; the 5 per cent. 1889 loan is 105$; the 4A- per cent. 1579-1904 loan is 104£; and the 4 per cent, inscribed stock is 101^. Adelaide wheat, ex store, is unchanged at 36s j and New Zealand ditto at 30s to 345. Off coast cargoes New Zealand wheat are quoted at 32s 6d. Adelaide flour, ex warehouse, is 255.

Australian tallow : Average quality beef, 345; multoii, 34s 6d.
