Trent Bros., I visited their manufactory, and selected promiscuously two samples of coffee, both samples wqro well prepared, and of excellent quality. "Canterbury College, Christchurch, August 20. 1854..— riaviug selected indiscriminately samples of Black end White Pepper, and having examined them both mlcroscopic&l.y and chemically, I find them exceedingly good samples, very well prepared, and qnito free from injurious constituents. The Microscopical examinations compared tvith that of genuine pepper scarcely shows any difference in the farinaceous substance, proving that they «nnst be very free from any foreign admixture.—Signed, A.
