A CAPTAIN OF ARTILLERY SHOT.
Nelson, Tuesday; Da. Leggatt, captain of the artillery,while engaged superintending the firing at the rifle butts this morning, was shot through, the palm of the left hand, throughthe accidental discharge of a carbine. The injuries received were oE such a naturs that amputation at the wrist was found aeces* sary.
