(.SPECIAL MESSAGE.] October 2S. Seahorse and Blink Bonny did a mile aad a-half trial this morning, the former winning easily. There was some heavy wagering last evening. The following is the latest betting ca the Derby :— 5 to 4, and firm at the price ; Seahorse 7 to 1 (some heavy investments having been made in his favour); Sandal Sto 1. others 10 to 1. For the Cup: 100 to 10 is taken about Off Colour, 100 to S. is taken about Plausible, 100 to 7 ia taken about Blink Bonny and 100 to 5 is taken about Commotion, who has been backed to win £5000 by his owner; 100 to 6 taken about The Plunger freely, 100 to 5 is taken about Warwick. Malm and Bargo showed a decline, their closing prices being about 100 to 5 offered. Later, The weather continues favourable for training purposes, and training is more animated. Commotion went twice round splendidly. Hilltop and the Pi anger also went twice round, in 3;nins. 47sees. Theformer finished strongly. Tempe and lolanthe did a spin at three-quarter ■pace.
