WAEANUI'S VISIT TO WELLINGTON.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COBRESPONDBNT.] Wellington, Saturday. Wahanui, the great Ngatimaniapoto chief, is expected to arrive hero on Tuesday. Eo is at present hobnobbing with some friends at Wanganni. I understand that an invitation was sent to Wahanui some time ago to visit Wellington with his friends and stay here as the guests of the Government. It turns put that Wahanui has a party of nine Maoris with him, but some of them may possibly remain behind at Wanganui. It is not believed that he has any political object in view in coming to Wellington, but merely a desire to see European institutions at the capital, especially the Parliament. ■•
