[BBDTEB'S CABLEGRAM.) VICTORIAN REVENTjE. Melbourne., April 1. The Victorian revenue : ref;urns for the past quarter are published. The receipts amount to £1,640,000, an increase of £165,500 W< r compared with the Bame' quarter-last year. The Customs revenue has increased by £13,000, the land income by i £7.2,000, and the railway receipts by £86,000. The Ezoise revenue shows a' decrease' of £43,000,' ■. \V, ; , SOUTH AUSTRALIAir REVENUE. Adelaide, April 1. The South Australian revenue returns for the March quarter show total receipts £547,000, being a decrease of £31,000 as compared with the corres-, ponding period ■ of 1883. -The falling off is chiefly in the .Customs. New South Wales revenue- returns are published, to-day.; The receipts for the quarter amounted, to £1,500,000, being a decrease of £14,500 compared with the corresponding period last year. The revenue for the year "amounted to £6,460,000, being . £794,000 below last year's receipts. The diminution is attributed to the falling off in the land revenue, which shows a decrease of £180,000 for the year/ ' DEATH SENTENCE COMMUTED. Sydney, April 1.
