;[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWNV CORRESPONDENT, ] Tahranga, Friday. By the English mail to-day most satisfactory advices from: Mr. G. V. Stewart were received relative to: the progress made in floating the Tauranga-Rotorua Railway. Tho necessary information from the colony ■will reach London to-.inorrow,. and will enable Mr. Stewart to finally complete his arrangement: for the completion of. the transfer to. the: London syndicate, and the immediate commencement of the work. Great preparations are boing made for His Excellency the Governor's reception on his arrival here 1 on the 22m1; The regatta on Tuesday promises to be a great success, and keen: competition is ex-, peoted in all the events. ■The cricket match to be played to morrow at Katikati. between the .Te Aroha and T teamß, is creating interest. The Tauranga-team entertain the visitors at dinner at Clarke's Janotion Hotel: in the evening.
