A cricket match commenced here today between the Australian Eleven and a South Australian team: The latter went in first, and at the close of th« day's play had scored 131 runs, -with " wickets down. THE ANNUAL WOOL STATEMENT. Melbourne, March 13. Messrs. Goldsbrough and Oo.'s annual wool review has been issued. It states that the season's clip has been excellent. The sales in the colonies have amounted to 348,000 bales, or 40 per cent, of the total production. Th' 3 sales increases have been as follows :— Victoria, 34,000 bales ; Sydney, 35,000 bales; Adelaide, 4000 bales. There has been an active demand for the Continent, whither G4OO bales have been exported. 22,000 bales have been sent to America, an increase of 14,000 bales.
