THE SOUDAN CAMPAIGN.
THE BRITISH ABOUT TO; ATTACK. [by electric telegraph. copyright.] 1 [beuier's telegrams.] Cairo, March 12. The latest telegrams to hand from Souakiin, announce that the whole, of the British force under General Graham reached Zariba last evening, and the troops bivouacked for the night. Orders have been given for the advance to be made to-day at noon against Osman Digna's position. The troops will be formed into two squares, and in this order will attack the rebels,' who are encamped in strong force at Tamaneb, a short march from Zariba. [Received March 14,1.10 a.m.] ' Cairo, March 12. Telegrams from Souakim report that General Graham has taken up a position a mile distant from that occupied by Osman Digna, and commence the attack at daybreak. A Press Association message says : —General Gordon reiterates his appointment of Zebehr as Governor of Khartoum. THE CONSERVATIVES AND THE REFORM BILL. London, March-13. In the course of an address at Chelsea last night, the Marquis of Salisbury said, in reference to the Conservative programme, that the Opposition were determined to secure an appeal to the country before the Government's, reformed Franchise Bill could be passed.
