LYTTELTON". March 11.—Sailed : S.s. Te Anau, for Dunedin ; s.s. Rotorua, for Wellington. THE WRECK OF THE FALCON. WANGANUI, Tuesday.—An inquiry into the cause of the recent wreck of the ketch Falcon, from Patea, was heard at the Court to-day, before Mr. B. Ward, R.M., and Captain Priest. After lengthy evidence, their Worships decided that Captain Leslie, of the Falcon, deserved censure for not obeying the direction of the pilot, but that no blame attached to him when the boat had gone ashore, as there was no means of fastening it to the breakwater. Captain Leslie was ordered to pay the cost of the inquiry, £3 16?. His certificate was lost in the Falcon, but the Bench decided that a copy might be given to him. EArPARA. March 9.—Arrived: Barque Anadell and schooner Polioan, from South; Robin Hood, brig, and Vision, brig, from Melbourne.
