PRESENTATION TO MR. R. WALKER, EX-MAYOR OF PARNELL.
A special meeting of the Parnell Borongb Council was held la3t evening, for the parpose of presenting an elegantly-illuninatea address to Mr. Robert Walker, the 1»» Mayor of Parnell, as a recognition of the service he had rendered to the borongh during his three successive terms of officeThere were present :—His Worship toe Mayor, Captain D. H. McKenzi<\ Messrs. Winks, Pollard, Mclutyre, McCabe, m Miillins. The address, a highly elaborate «* artistic out, prepared and engrossed W Mr. James fclator, was enclosed in a splendid gilt frame, and was much admired. In "} e initial, "W" is enclosed a view of Auckland harbour, and the. designs and colouring of the border are highly artistic.
