The Kamo Collier? is a most extensive one, consisting, as it doss, of 1200 acres of freehold, and about 1400 acres leasehold lands. The r&ilway which the Government has completed' connecting the Kamo Colliery with the Harbour, at a cost of about £52,00j, places the Colliery in the posi* tion of being mere easily and profitably worked than any other Colliery in New Zealand. The Harbour with which the iline is now attached is, for all practical purposes, equal to any in the Colonies, and feeing en route for the Union and Pacific Companies' steamers, couldnot be mere advantageously situated. Since the formation of the Company, a very large Enm been expended in developing the Mice, and with the most satisfactory results. In the Main Engine sha!s (which is a considerable distance from the present workings, and upon which powerful pumping and winding machinery has been erected), at a depth of 250 feet from the surface, the upper seam cf coal, nine feet in thicszess. has been gone through. This Coax is very superior in quality. At a depth of feet below this seam, the lower seam has been proved to exist- This Coax WILL BE IMKSDIATHLY AVAIXA.BI.X, At the opposite side of the Hill from which the main heading was started, and what is known as the Bead Engine Dip, a seam of nine feet o: excellent c?al has been struct. This coal will be in the market at oijce. as it is connected with the railway through the main level; In view of the facts that now the Colliery is well opened up, the demand for the ccal having largely increased, and the recently acquired seams of coal pro ing t-o be of superior quality, the Directors are jus tilled in stating that they believe the Company, from this time, will pay continoaaly large dividends. SHARES are now offered to the public at Fifteen Shillings per Share upon the following terms: —FIVE SHILLINGS CASH ; BALANCE BY TWO EQUAL PAYMENTS OF FIVE SHILLINGS EACH AT THREE AND SIX MONTHS. The Directors being thoroughly satisned with the bDr.a Tides of the undertaking determined to adopt the risk of proving the Mine a success before offerin? to the public any shares for sale- Those now offered to the public were purchased by the Directors for the Company. The entire proceeds, therefore, of the shares now offered to the public will be placed to the credit of the Company, A list of the properties, inventory of plant, certificates and reports cf eminent engineers, &c-, may be inspected at the Company's Office.
