THE TEA MARKET. Melbourne, October 16. Advices to hand from Foochow, under date October 14, estimate the exports of tea for the colonies at 12,700,0001b5. The market prices show a general advance. Medium congous are higher. Stock generally' is of undesirable quality. MELBOURNE GRAIN MARKET. Melbourne, October 16. The Melbourne manager of the National Mortgage Agency Company, New Zealand (Limited), reports of the local grain market as follows:—The wheat market is less depressed, but not much is doing. Shipping parcels, 4s 5d ; fowl wheat, 3s 6d to 4s ; malting barley, 4s 9d to 5s 6d. The market is irregular. New Zealand oats are quiet at 2s lid to 3s Id for feeding, and 3s 2d to 3s 3d for milling sorts. New Zealand oats, under bond, are quoted at 2s 2d to 2s .4d. The market is steady, but the demand is not active. ! KAURI TIMBER IN MELBOURNE. Melbourne, October 16. _ Messrs. G' S. Ross and Co., of this city, report the sale of a cargo of kauri timber, ex Kentish Lass, at the following average price per 100 feet super. :— Hewn logs lis 3d, sawn flitches IDs per 100 feet, lineal tongusd and grooved flooring, 6x£, Ss 3d. The market is very weak. THE BRINDISI MAILS. Melboukne, October-16. Arrived,- this morning : The P. and 0. steamship Thames, with the mails via Brindisi, which left London on September 7. THE .WAIHORA. Melbourne, October 16. Sailed, this afternoon: The Union steamship Waihora, for the Blnff.
