SERIOUS RAILWAY ACCIDENT.

Otf the Oxford-Sheffield line to-day, while about 600 men recently taken on from the ranks of the unemployed were loading ballast, the train, while being shunted, suddenly stopped, throwing several men off. One of tbi;se, whose name has not been ascertained, fell under the wheels, which passed over the head and neck, crushing the lower jiw and fracturing the vertibrte. Death wm instantaneous. Another man, Edward Drinkrell,, sustained a fracture of the left thigh other injuries.
