The half-yeaily meeting of the Onehunga Perpetual Land, Building and Investment Society was held in the company's officaon Thursday evening, the Vice-president, Mr. A. Grant, in the chair. The statement of cash account read by the Secretary, Mr. J. D. Jackson, showed a considerable increase of business, the total receipts for the halfyear amounting to £9463, which included £3000 on investment shares, £2900 repayments on mortgages, and £3'250 received on deposit. The disbursements had.been £4788 on mortgages, £2063 deposits repaid, £916 for interest and bonus on paid-up shares, and £560 on rebuildings out of insurances, leaving a credit balance of £230. The half-year's interest, amounting to £670, on paid-up, shares, was ordered for payment. Messrs., Carbines and Taylor's . sale of drapexy and furniture at Mr, (Heap's, Symcmds-streeV vlll take place this day, at eleven o'clock.'.
