THE GOLDFIELDS.
The following mine manager's report was received yesterday -.— Werajiiko (Te Aroha). —To-day I have been taking out some very good quartz from a leader which joins the one nn I have been working. It is about throe fuet thick, which I believe is the best crushing dirt I have seen on Ihe hill. To-day I picked out about SOlbs. of rich quarlz. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN COIVRESPONDENT.] Thames, Friday evening. Shabehahtet.—Bright Smile, sellers 2s 6d, buy?rs 2s 3d ; Dart, eellers 6s 6d; Cross, sellers 3s 4d; Hand of Friendship, sellers 4s; Imperial, 41s, 425, 41s, sellere 41s 6d; New Find, sellere 9*, buyers Ss 6d; Werahiko, 6s 6d, sellers, 6* 6d. Tho Dart crushing commences to-morrow. The manager is not satisfied that he is yet through the reef. The fire is not now affecting the Caledonian, but smoke in the Golden C.-own prevents the men working.
