POULTRY SHOW.
Pob, Borne time, past various efforts have been made to make such arrangements au ■will secure a good show of poultry. The formation of an Auckland Poultry Association did not appear to promise the success ■which vaa desired, and the committee of the Auckland Agricultural and Pastoral Association took the matter up. Arrangement* hive now been made for holding a show in Mr. Bnckland's yard, at the Haymarket, on' the 3rd and 4th of August next. So far as the committee at present know, there is every renson to look forward to a splendid exhibition of poultry. The syntem of holding a poultry Bhow in connection with the November exhibition may be of advantage to some, but the variety of other exhibits tends to deprive the poultry of that attention which they would otherwise receive. In another column is published the list of classes for which entries may be made for the August poultry, pigeon, and canaries show, and certainly there is ample vailety of choice to ensure a full list of exhibits. Rabbits will also form a. feature in the show, and as the days are Friday and Saturday, and the placa of exhibition the centre of a large population, no doubt theattendauce will be large. In the section of poultry, one hundred and two classes have been arranged, in which intending exhibitors may enter what they have to show.
