WAIKATO DISTRICT NEWS.
[BT TELEGRAM.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Friday evening. , The members of the Orange Lodge of Ulster, and visiting brethren from Cambridge, Ngaruawahia, and all pirts of the district, celebrated the anniversary yesterday with a dinner at iMrs. Gwynne's Hamilton Hotel. Nearly thirty sat down to table, sumptuously furnished in the old hostelry's best style, the Worshipful Master, Mr. John Knox, presiding. The usual loyal and patriotic toauts were drunk, not omitting one in memory of the late departed Brother Richard Gwjnne, which wai drunk in silence. At a meeting of the Public Hall Committee this evening, Mr. Louis O'Neill, solicitor, was appointed a trustee of the hall, in place of the late Mr. Gwynne. It has been determined to organise allowing Club in Hamilton. At a meeting of those interested preliminary Btews were taken, and Messrs. Bindon, Waluutt, and Mounier were appointed a committee to canvass for members, and ascei tain prices of suitable boats, i &c. It was resolved to aßk His Excellency 1 the Governor to be President, and Messrs. P. A. Whitaker, J. B. Whyte, Northcroft, and Colonel Lyon to be Vice-presidents. The idea is to place the boats on the lake, where there is a three-quarter mile course from end to end.
