Notice is hereby gi'«sn that the City Council of Auckland intend to apply to the Goneral Assembly of New Zealand at the present session for leave to Intro* duce a Bill to be called THE CITY OF AUCKLAND LOANS BILL, which BUI will contain the following provisions : — !1. To empower tho said Council to borrow on debentures a sum not exceeding £250,000, bearing interest at the rate of five per cent, per annum, payable half-yearly, and the 5 principal to be payable in fifty years, with r provision for a siuking fund. 2.
